Gas station employees strike in Spain

On Tuesday, thousands of gas station workers in Spain went on strike for 24 hours, demanding better pay.

The majority of gas station workers took part in the strike. According to the Spanish government, only 20 percent of gas stations remained open.

In the cities, long lines of cars backed up waiting for gas as a result of the strike.

Workers power was demonstrated perfectly!

I'm proud of these people, and hope their demands, for better pay and shorter hours, are met. With actions like these, I'm sure they will be.

We workers in the US - especially in retail - could learn something from this example.

Think about the damage workers could do to the US economy in just one strike like the one you reported in this post. I guess this goes along with Marx's idea that the capitalists sell us the rope. Such mistreatment of the backbone of the world is cause for revolution.
